Omid Bakhtar – Faculty Bio


Omid Bakhtar received his medical school training at the Medical College of Wisconsin and moved to San Diego to complete a residency in clinical and anatomical pathology.  Immediately following his residency, Dr. Bakhtar completed a surgical pathology fellowship at UCSD which included pathology training at UCSD, Rady Children’s Hospital and Kaiser Permanente.  Following fellowship, Dr. Bakhtar was recruited by Pacific Rim Laboratory/Analytic Pathology Medical Group as a surgical and clinical pathologist.  His focus of interest is breast and gastrointestinal surgical pathology and all aspects of the outpatient laboratory.  He currently serves as the medical director of the Sharp Outreach Laboratory and Vice President of APMG/Pacific Rim Pathology and is an assistant clinical professor at the UC Riverside School of Medicine
