Kelly Young, RDC, CDCES, received her Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Nutrition from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.  Kelly joined Sharp Rees-Stealy Center for Health Management in January 2008 and currently serves as Manager of Patient Education and Support.  Her prior work experience includes nutrition counseling at SDSU Research Foundation Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC), clinical inpatient nutrition at Scripps Hospital, and diabetes education for Medtronic Diabetes.  Kelly is passionate about helping people prevent chronic illness through weight management and diabetes prevention.  In 2016, Kelly became a certified Diabetes Prevention Lifestyle coach and has helped to develop Sharp Rees-Stealy’s Nationally Recognized Diabetes Prevention Program. When she isn’t at work, Kelly enjoys hiking, trying newly healthy recipes, yoga, and spending time with her family.
