Title 17 of the California Code of Regulations [17 CCR 30403(b)] requires that all licentiates, including both physicians and physicians assistants earn 10 approved CE credits in the two years immediately preceding the expiration date of their California Fluoroscopy Supervisor and Operator Permit.  At least 4 of the 10 credits must be in radiation safety for the clinical uses of fluoroscopy.  Radiologists in California are subject to different requirements.
