Overview

Continues to expand on Lean Six Sigma basics.  Topics include change acceleration process, project management, DMAIC and additional lean concepts.

Objectives
Following this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Apply the Change Acceleration Process (CAP) model to your change/implementation efforts
  2. Identify when to apply the right tools for managing change
  3. Discuss how to utilize the materials to gain maximum benefit in managing change
  4. Execute effective change
  5. Outline expectations for project management at Sharp
  6. Describe the role leadership plays in supporting and facilitating project work
  7. Explain the Project and Team Charter
  8. List several tools a Project Manager could use for planning and running a project
  9. Define the DMAIC structure for conducting improvement projects
  10. Define a project using the structure of a project charter
  11. Discuss the elements and purpose of process mapping
  12. Describe the importance of keeping our customers (patients) the focus of what we do
  13. Develop meaningful ways to measure your process and expected outcome
  14. Utilize basic tools to determine the root cause of a problem
  15. Discuss the need to work solutions that address the root cause of a problem
  16. Describe your data using both graphical and basic statistical descriptions
  17. Discuss how variation impacts the performance of a process
