SHC Code Blue & Stroke Pharmacy Competency

This education is designed to address gaps in knowledge regarding updated algorithms and medications pertaining to code blue emergencies and acute stroke.

1. Demonstrate how to be an active and effective team member during a code.
2. Differentiate the most common algorithms used in ACLS.
3. Illustrate how to prepare medications commonly used in codes.
4. Evaluate safe and appropriate medication use during RSI and stroke codes.

Accreditation:  Sharp HealthCare is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.

CPE Credit: Sharp HealthCare designates this  for a maximum of 1.00 contact hours (0.10 CEUs).  Partial credit will not be awarded.  Pharmacists can verify their credits at CPE Monitor within 30 days of completion of this activity.  UAN:0571-0000-25-017-H01-P

Cultural & Linguistic Competency and Implicit Bias Standards: This activity is in compliance with California Assembly Bill 1195 which requires that all CME activities comprising a patient care element include curriculum addressing the topic of cultural and linguistic competency, in conjunction with California Senate Bill 923 gender-affirming care, and in compliance with California Assembly Bill 241 which requires that all CME activities incorporate educational components to address factors identified as impacting the provider’s patient populations and disparities potentially caused and exacerbated.
