Overview

Dr. Christoforetti, an internationally renowned expert in hip arthroscopy, will give two presentations and engage in discussion and case studies. Dr. Michael Muldoon will present a presentation on advances in safe distraction for hip arthroscopy. Surgeons and non-surgeons are encouraged to attend. The audience will understand the advances available in the rapidly developing field related to the treatment of hip disorders. The audience will actively engage in all aspects of the presentations including case study discussion, Q&A. A significant time will be allotted to Q&A.

Objectives
Following this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. State that trochanteric bursitis is an outdated diagnosis.
  2. Discuss the importance of MRIs in the diagnosis of hip disorders.
  3. State that surgical repair of abductor tears is extremely effective.
  4. Discuss the impact of recent and ongoing outcomes research for surgically procedures including hip preservation surgery.
  5. State the benefits of post-less distraction and lateral approach with hip arthroscopy.
