This activity reviews current clinical guidelines to increase better patient outcomes.

This educational case review will focus on current, relevant cases in perinatology and will include the development of treatment plans and expected patient outcomes for selected cases. The activity is for perinatologists, neonatologists, obstetricians and other health care providers involved in the care of women and newborns.

Pathologist’s regularly present to the group of Pathologists’ Assistants as well as other Pathologists cases that demonstrate the PA’s role in patient care. These presentations will include updated information and research that can improve how the PA’s approach and dissect their specimens. Additionally, the pathology/patient connection will be reinforced, which will increase the PA’s awareness and passion for each specimen they gross.
