Sepsis is life-threating organ dysfunction due to a dysregulated host response to infection.  Its is the #1 cause of death, readmission, and highest healthcare cost in hospitalized patients. The purpose of this e-module is to address the early management of sepsis in the emergency department.

Only 7 percent of physicians correctly identify those patient at risk for developing Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome in the Acute Care hospital setting. The purpose of this physician education is to increase the knowledge of risk factors associated with Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome, the pathophysiology of Alcohol Use Disorder and available treatment resources at Sharp Grossmont Hospital.
